AirTN NextGen
The Air Transport Network, AirTN NextGen, a CSA funded under FP7, creates a platform of networking and communication between regional, national and governmental organizations supporting research and innovation in the EU Member States and Associated Countries to the EU Framework Program in the field of Aviation.

AirTN-NextGen Workshop on Virtual testing, towards virtual certification
25 May, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Where currently extensive experimental verification is needed, further development of design and simulation capabilities may increase the competitiveness of industry. In this workshop the focus was on the theme of key isolated or clustered multidisciplinary aeronautics industrial problems with presently low degree of confidence in design and simulation and that therefore need extensive experimental verification. All presentations are available.

Final AirTN NextGen Network Meeting
ATTENTION: DATE HAS BEEN SHIFTED! 11 October, Bratislava, Slovakia
Safe the date for the final AirTN NextGen Network Meeting and be informed about the outcomes of the project. The meeting is planned as a full day meeting on 11 October 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The primary objective of the meeting is to give an overview of the project results and to discuss on future cooperation possibilities. The meeting target participants are representatives from: member states & associated countries, transport and education (or other relevant) ministries, funding agencies, ACARE national mirror groups, regional government and clusters in the field of aviation (e.g. aeronautics and air transport - AAT). The agenda will be published well in advance to the meeting on:
"European Commission Infoday and ETNA2020 Brokerage Event"

Within the Framework of the EC Transport infoday the project ETNA 2020 is organizing a networking and brokerage event - jointly supported by ETNA 2020 and Enterprise Europe Network - focusing on the topics covered by the Transport Work Programme 2017. The networking and brokerage event will take place the 28th of September in Brussels.
Participants looking for partners for the calls published in the Transport Work Programme 2017 will have the opportunity to present their organizations and ideas for project proposals in 2 different ways:
- In the form of a brief oral presentation (3 minutes max.), using templates specially designed for this purpose.
- By participating in bilateral meetings (max. 20 minutes).
6th EASN International Conference on Innovation in European Aeronautics Research
18-21 October, Portugal
In 2016, for the first time, the European Aeronautics Science Network will convene in Portugal. The 6th International Conference of EASN will be co-organised with the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI) of the University of Porto (FEUP).
The 6th EASN International Conference is set to be the larger, broader and most comprehensive gathering of the Association. It is designed to be the year’s leading forum for discussion and exchange of information about state-of-the-art research and development activities in Aeronautics and Air Transport.
The conference will include plenary sessions by renowned speakers and open discussions with distinguished researchers from the industry and academia. It will also include thematic sessions housing the majority of current european aeronautics research programs and technical workshops where evolving ideas, technologies, products, services and processes will be discussed. In this respect, the conference is expected to foster the cooperation and interaction between its participants on a multidisciplinary basis serving as a meeting for exchanging novel and innovative ideas for future research.
The 2016 EASN Conference will be a flagship event in dissemination of aeronautics research activities and the goal is to share high quality, current achievements and new upstream research ideas.
INAIR 2016

The INAIR conference is a forum in which industry and academia meet to exchange ideas and set up common challenges. The interaction between researchers and industry representatives is key in order to come up with innovative solutions for the challenges of the future.
